ADI SLS 3D PRINTER

ADI is a University of Buenos Aires (FADU) Industrial Design Thesis Project (Cátedra Louzau) done by a team of 5 designers, Agustín Folino, Leandro Gallo, Matias Macca, Martín Rico and Nicolas Pahor. We did it considering it easy to assemble and dissasemble, also to make it affordable. Everything but the laser, Stepper motors and Galvanometer, was made in Buenos Aires. We did some initial tests with PET material but it needs further tuning and investment.
We continued working on it after the University, in a Small version with a CNC instead of a Galvanometer.

Several Iterations were done, in MDF material and Aluminium extruded Profiles.
The Mechanisms were created from scratch, using Motorbike gears for the bed lift, a stepper motor for the dosifier and for the roller as well with a belt mechanism.
